Designed to detect sugar levels in potatoes, which can help determine color prior to deep frying.
Test paper measures glucose levels in osmosis/diffusion experiments, urine analysis (educational only), and food science studies.
The Glucose test paper detects 0.1 – 2.0% glucose. Our Glucose Test Strips can also be used for similar purposes, however, they are plastic strips rather than paper and measure from 0-3000 mg/dL rather than percentages. The strip can be used to measure glucose levels in osmosis/diffusion experiments, urine analysis (educational only), and food science studies.
Instructions:
1. Remove one test paper from the bag using tweezers. Do not touch the test paper with your bare hand. The strip is 4 inches in length, and may be cut into smaller lengths if needed.
2. Dip the test strip into the solution being tested for 1-2 seconds.
3. Remove the strip from the solution.
4. After 60 seconds, compare the test strip to the color chart.
Note: In solutions containing oxidizers, a false positive may be observed.
